Still have some of your water sports equipment laying around? This winter, try something a little extreme! Snow Kayaking has drawn crowds and participants of all ages to sledding hills and ski resorts around the country for an exhilarating ride!

Boyne Mountain in Boyne Falls and Nub’s Nob and Boyne Highlands in Harbor Springs offer several events during the year, and their spring and season-end celebrations include snow kayaking races.

Don’t wait until summer to head to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, and be sure to check kayaking down the snowy dunes off your list!

So dust off the kayak from storage and head to your local sledding hill or resort. Don’t forget the paddle, and be sure to strap on that helmet for what is sure to be a wild ride.

We decided to give it a try. Take a look!
