Cancellation and Transfer Policy 2021

Applies to all cancellations made after May 1, 2020

At Holiday Vacation Rentals, we understand the difficulty COVID-19 has added to your travel planning. In order for our guests to have greater flexibility in the planning and booking of their vacation accommodations, we have revised our cancellation and transfer policies. In the event you need to change your vacation plans, we believe these changes will provide you with reasonable and accommodating options.

COVID-19 Executive Order Restrictions

In the event that a COVID-19 Executive Order prevents guests from traveling to our vacation rentals, a full refund will be offered. Holiday Vacation Rentals (HVR) requires written confirmation from the guest in order to cancel or transfer a reservation. We encourage you to monitor for any updates from the State of Michigan.


In the event that you need to cancel a reservation, Holiday Vacation Rentals must be notified in writing (email correspondence is acceptable).

There is a 100% refund for cancellations made sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date.

If the reservation is cancelled thirty-one (31) days prior to the arrival date, 100% of the rental amount will be refunded less the reservation fee and a $250.00 cancellation fee. There are no refunds for reservations cancelled thirty (30) days or fewer prior to the arrival date.

The $250.00 cancellation fee will be applied to any new reservation made within one year.


Holiday Vacation Rentals will waive transfer fees and provide full credit to move a reservation to future dates within the same property up to one year in advance. Transfers are subject to availability and approval of the property owner. Requests for transfers must be submitted in writing to HVR (email correspondence is acceptable), a minimum of thirty (30) days prior to arrival date. No subsequent waiver of transfer fees will be honored. If transferring to a lower-priced season, no refund will be given for the difference in rate. If transferring to a higher-priced season, the difference will be charged 30 days prior to arrival.
